ABOUT NF FEST

WELCOME TO NF FEST!

Organized by the Nonfiction Ninjas, NF Fest is a month-long crash course in writing nonfiction for children. Learn the craft from 20+ authors and illustrators through daily posts that will get you researching and writing in small steps. It's all free!

Please join our NF Fest Facebook community at https://www.facebook.com/groups/NFFest. This community answers questions, shares resources and good news, and has interesting discussions. It is active every month, not just during NF Fest. Come join us there!

This year's NF Fest is dedicated to its creator, author and educator Pat Miller. Pat dedicated her life to children, books, and learning. And what she learned she always shared. In 2015, she created the first two-day NF conference called Nonfiction for New Folks and ran it single-handedly for three years. And when Pat saw the need for a more comprehensive resource online, she devised the NF Fest to celebrate the art and craft of true stories for children. What a gift!

It has been a privilege to work with Pat, and we, the Nonfiction Ninjas, are proud to carry on her legacy.
